Wisconsin Environmental Health Association 2018 Educational Conference

Join your peers for our Annual Educational Conference.

Day 1 - Food Related Emergency Preparedness Exercise –WEHA, in cooperation with industry, will conduct a large scale food product contamination exercise. The scenario will focus on the initial response, identification, investigation and industry emergency response to a large scale foodborne illness outbreak. The intent of the exercise will be to illustrate the importance of collaborating on a diverse team of professionals and establishing roles and responsibilities when responding to a large scale food product contamination event. The exercise will involve local, state and federal agencies, medical providers, emergency management, law enforcement and industry. A large portion of the exercise will involve the response of a large scale food producer. This will familiarize regulatory and industry staff on how the other would respond during a large scale event. The exercise will be conducted using HSEEP format in hopes of attracting Public Health staff beyond Environmental Health Sanitarians.

Day 2 & 3 "The Conference"- will be the second day (Thursday) and a half day on the third day (Friday). The sessions will consist of general environmental health and food safety. Thursday sessions will be at the LaCrosse Country Club and Friday breakout sessions will be at a location yet to be determined since the Country Club will be unable to accomodate us on Friday.

Sessions will be added over the next few weeks with most current agenda updates posted on the WEHA website.

Can't make the whole conference? Only want to attend the conference and not the training? You have the option to attend Day 1 only, Day 2 & 3 only, or all 3 days.
