In January 2017, The Gerald R. Ford International Airport became the center of a nationwide protest. Overnight, hundreds of protesters were planning to gather at the airport to protest President Trump's travel ban and voice their support for immigrant rights. What rights did the airport have? What rights did the protesters have? How would you handle a protest or other First Amendment issue on your company's property? Lisa Carr, Public Safety & Operations Director, and Tara Hernandez, Marketing & Communications Director at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport, speak to how they dealt with the protesters, attorneys, anti-protesters, tenants, passengers, and the media.
