Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center Tour

Many Friends were treated to a wonderful behind-the- scenes tour and reception at this truly special place in 2019, and we are excited to drop in again.

The Topsail Turtle Project was organized by Karen Beasley, as she saw the need to preserve and protect the Sea Turtle nests, nesting females and hatchlings on the 26 miles of coastline on Topsail Island. After Karen’s early death, the torch was passed on to her mother, Jean Beasley, today the Executive Director of both the nesting program and the rehabilitation center.

We’ll spend time touring with volunteers, meet Jean, an Oceana’s Ocean Hero, and most importantly, meet the turtles! On-site donations are welcome to support the vital services that the Sea Turtle Rescue provides.
