The interactive 2017 INPE Leadership Academy offers you 12 contact hours of evidence-based and expert-guided content designed to promote leadership growth, regardless of your career stage.  Great leaders are not born; those willing to accept the challenge to lead can learn the values and strategies to promote success.  

Attendance will be limited to the first 20 registrants, to allow for an intense and interactive experience. This is a Golden Moment for NPs and we need you to lead us forward.  To achieve the objectives, we will explore the literature on leadership from the perspective of traditional authors with emphasis on more contemporary ones (e.g. Sinek, Godin, Sandberg, Grant); discuss the challenges associated with leadership; identify characteristics, strategies, and resources that promote leadership success; and impart skills and tools to set attendees on a trajectory towards professional leadership. The conference provides a call to action and will help you plan a path forward for progressive leadership activities.

Who is this program for?  This content is tailored for NPs at all career stages.  While others nurses may attend, the examples used and discussions primarily will be NP-oriented and INPE CE is accredeted as an AANP Approved Provider. What will attendees get out of the meeting?  Beyond the actual content, attendees will enjoy a unique opportunity to participate in a facilitated process through which they will identify their leadership interests and strategies to help them achieve their specific goals.  The interactive discussions will promote networking with other attendees and the faculty, with follow-up opportunities beyond the meeting.

How do I register?  The registration link is provided bleow. Registration through 11/10/17 is $220; after 11/10 $265.  

 What is the program schedule?   The actual timed schedule is still being refined--it will be provided to registrants in advance of the meeting.  We meet 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on day1 and 8 a.m. until noon day 2. Morning coffee service (no breakfast) will be offered both days, with lunch included on day 2.  Attendance is limited to 20 registrants.  Content will focus on the following and much more!

INPE Cancellation Policy:  1) If INPE must cancel this conference for any reason, registrants will receive a full registration refund.  There will be no reimbursement for other costs (e.g. travel or hotel).  2) Registrants cancelling attendance prior to 10/31 will be fully refunded, less $50 administrative fee. Cancellations 11/1-11/10 receive 50% refund; cancellations after 10/11  will receive credit for future program. No credit for no-show.

Faculty: Mary Jo Goolsby, EdD, MSN, NP-C, FAANP, FAANP 

Dr. Goolsby is recognized as an NP leader at the national level and a successful entrepreneur and intrapreneur. She has a long history of organizational leadership and service, with contributions to NP education, practice, and research. She has been inducted as an FAANP and FAAN, serving as the current FAANP Chair.  After 12 years as AANP Vice President of Research, Education, & Practice, she founded the Institute for NP Excellence to promote NP excellence by providing superior, evidence-based education, research, and resources. She has spoken on leadership topics at numerous NP international, national, and state conferences. Her sessions include calls to action and provide relevant practical strategies and motivation to attendees answer the calls. She remains available for session attendees following presentations, to promote successful endeavors.
