Giftedness is often accompanied by greater than usual sensitivity to external stimulation (Dabrowski's over-excitabilities). This increased sensitivity creates challenges and opportunities. Kate Arms will focus on taking advantage of the opportunities, which helps gifted individuals see themselves as whole not broken.
