Virginia Auctioneers Association Mid-Year Seminar 2018
The Virginia Auctioneers Association will host their annual Mid-Year Seminar on August 4, 2018 at the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Innsbrook. The day will begin with check-in and coffee at 8:00am, lunch is included in the registration fee.

As auctioneers, we provide a valuable and important service to our clients and their families through the marketing and sale of personal property.
In this session, we will take a look at how we as professional auctioneers can help families with the burden of downsizing and letting go of possessions. We will explore how we can walk through this with them with dignity and respect. Attendees will leave with a new perspective on the work we do, ideas for increased customer service and potential to increase their bottom line.
Ernie Rogers, CAI, AARE, CES - Another Revenue Stream for Auctioneers - Ernie Rogers is a Real Estate Broker in Virginia and North Carolina and is licensed in several states as an Auctioneer. Ernie is also the owner of Blacktie Benefit Auctions, LLC. Ernie and his team of Auctioneers and Ringmen help non-profit organizations and private schools with their fundraising gala auctions throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Ernie will present methods and ideas for Auctioneers on how they can either add or expand fundraising auctions as a source of revenue for their business. Ernie will touch on ways to source new business and how to overcome the objection of “free” to “for a fee” and when it is appropriate. Ernie has been an auctioneer since 1998 and holds several NAA and NAR designations.
