Local Food + Agritourism in the Heart of the Rockies 


About AgriSummit 2016:

AgriSummit is a day-long event highlighting opportunities for networking, discussion and learning focused on local food production and agritourism in the Heart of the Rockies region. Held at Salida's SteamPlant Event Center on Earth Day, Friday, April 22nd, AgriSummit 2016 will also include a catered luncheon featuring local foods and an early season farmers marketplace. The day's events will be followed by a one-time-only screening of Symphony of the Soilintroduced by the film's Director, special guest Deborah Koons Garcia.

We are excited to welcome Deborah Koons Garcia to provide an introduction to her film, Symphony of the Soil. Film Director, Writer and Producer, Deborah Koons Garcia has spent the last fifteen years focused primarily on films about agriculture and the food system, including the groundbreaking film The Future of Food. Her latest film, Symphony of the Soilwhich is currently in wide release, was designated a Critics’ Pick by the New York Times and was shown at the United Nations in New York City on World Soil Day which launched the UN International Year of the Soils. To learn more about Deborah Koonz-Garcia and Symphony of the Soil, click here .
