Speakers Reception 

Would you like to have some in-depth conversations with some of the leading speakers in the Dirty Energy/Clean Solutions conference, May 9 to 11, which Sunrise Center is co-sponsoring along with the Sierra Club and other organizations?

Would you like to contribute to 350BayArea's efforts to keep our San Francisco Bay Area free of shipments of Monterey shale oil and avoid more possible spills in the Bay? Mark Jacobson, a widely acclaimed Stanford University Professor and keynote speaker for the night, has shown repeatedly that the technology and economics are there for us to move much more quickly to 100% renewable energy--much sooner than many think. Dan Jacobson, Legislative Director of Environment CA, is an extremely effective lobbyist in Sacramento for what we want and he knows all about how to get clean energy bills through our Legislature. environmentcalifornia.org 

Mark Hertsgaard, local and renowned investigative reporter, is also an inspiring speaker.  Author of Hot: Living Through the Next 50 Years on Earth, he is also co-founder of  "Climate Parents" and just a little concerned about the life his daughter is facing. 

Miya Yoshitani, Executive Director for APEN, is a tireless advocate for low-income, disadvantaged communities affected by climate and environmental policy that too often forgets them, or fossil fuel companies that are oblivious to them.  www.apen4ej.org,

Stephanie Wang, Policy Director with Clean-Coalition, is an expert in public policy related to renewable energy and moving to the modern grid that we need that energy order to use it efficiently.  www. cleancoalitions.org
