Come learn how a lump of clay can be
transformed into pure silver jewelry!
This Beginner Level, two-part workshop will cover the basics of metal clay: working with, firing and finishing of one or more pieces from beginning to end. We'll discuss preparation, planning & design as you make either a pendant, earrings or both!
You'll have your own metal clay workstation with all the basic tools you'll need and access to all of our textures, stamps, shapes templates, and molds. You can even bring your own textures to use.
Workshop Fee: $85 Class fee includes 2 sessions of instruction, use of tools and kiln firing. Materials not included. You'll need a few items....
Materials Needed: You will need the amount of metal clay you'd like to use and a set of 3M polishing papers to hand finish your pieces. We recommend a 16 gram package for this workshop but you can purchase any amount you wish. If you like to make large pieces you might want 25 grams. You can purchase these at registration or you can bring your own.

About the Instructor: Julie Booras has a degree in Fine Arts from the George Washington University where she studied photography and graphic design and has been working in metal clay and jewelry design since 2007. She loves to share her excitement about metal clay with others!
Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel you can do so up to 48 hours before the workshop for a full refund. If it is less than 72 hours before the class there is no refund for the class but you can receive a full refund for any metal clay purchased. No credits or refunds for missed sessions.
In the event we need to cancel a class or workshop due to inclement weather, illness or not enough particiation you can choose to receive a refund or you can reserve a seat in a future class.
