Keynote Speaker: The Rev. Dr. Amy E. Richter

Dr. Amy RichterThe Rev. Dr. Amy E. Richter Biography

The Rev. Dr. Amy E. Richter has served as rector of St. Anne’s Church since August 1, 2009. Dr. Richter’s mission for her ministry as rector is that all members of St. Anne’s Church will be theologically informed, spiritually transformed, reaching out effectively as Christ’s hands and heart in the world, and supported in Christian community. She is enthusiastic about St. Anne’s Christian Formation – Christian learning and spiritual growth – for all ages, our outreach ministries, and our beautiful and meaningful worship, including our wonderful music. She believes that as the Church in the Circle, St. Anne’s has a mission to be a place of hospitality and welcome to all.

Dr. Richter received a Ph.D. in New Testament Theology from Marquette University (in Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Her research interests focus on the Gospel of Matthew, women in the Bible, and 1 Enoch and Christian origins. Click here to link to her new book, Enoch and the Gospel of Matthew or here to find it on Amazon. She holds an M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, a B.A. from Valparaiso University, and a Diploma in Anglican Studies from the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church. She previously served as Missioner for Lifelong Christian Formation for the Diocese of Maryland, the rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Milwaukee, WI, the associate rector of St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church in Chicago, and as assistant minister of Church of the Advent, Kennett Square, PA. She is blessed to be married to the Rev. Dr. Joseph Pagano, and is excited that Joe is part of the ministry team at St. Anne’s. She and Joe have co-authored a book, A Man, A Woman, A Word of Love.
