In this session we examine new strategies and supports designed to engage not overwhelm both providers and individuals and to assist them in growing their skill level in virtual support.

Katherine Carol, Wise Board
Katherine lives in Denver, Colorado and is a recognized subject matter expert by the US Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy. She serves as a Director on the Board of Imagine Enterprise in Texas, is a co-founder of Families at the Forefront of Technology, and is a former organization consultant at the University of N. Colorado. She also served as Chair of the Colorado Development Disabilities Council. Ms. Carol is tri-chair to Colorado’s innovative Employment First Advisory Partnership, Office of Employment First Advisory Group and State Rehabilitation Council. Ms. Carol has extensive work history assisting people with IDD to secure supported or customized employment. She consults and speaks on organizational transformation and working with parents of special needs children and is the parent of Mikelle, her adult daughter with special needs. Together, Mikelle and Katherine host The Shining Beautiful Series Podcast and are regular bloggers on Mikelle’s website, www.TheShiningBeautifulSeries.com.
