CT-AIMH 2014 Fall Conference

        A Trembling Nest:

Risk, Primary Prevention, and Pathways of Intervention in the Wake of Disaster

Register Now!Drs. Phyllis Cohen, & K. Mark Sossin, will discuss intergenerational transmission of trauma, risk factors, strength-based assessment, use of video in prevention & intervention, and training toward a more effective model of intervention. There will be two afternoon break-out sessions:  broad range intervention in disasters and children's traumatic play themes.
PRESENTERS:
Phyllis Cohen is a psychologist, psychoanalyst, child and adolescent therapist, and couples therapist. She is the founder and director of the New York Institute for Psychotherapy Training in Infancy, Childhood and Adolescence. She teaches child, adolescent and couples therapy at several psychoanalytic institutes and at New York University. K.Mark Sossin is a psychologist, psychoanalyst, and Professor of Psychology at Pace University. He is coordinator of the Pace Parent-Infant/Toddler Research Nursery, and director of the Mind, Movement, Interaction and Development Research Group. His ongoing research focuses on infant-parent interaction, transmission of stress, autism, nonverbal/movement behavior and early childhood affective development.  Payment  for the conference by purchase orders is accepted (select the payment by check option) ; however, all payments must be received by Nov. 12, 2014.
