CT-AIMH Home Visitor

Training Series tinto

The CT-AIMH is excited to offer this Infant Mental Health (IMH) training series specifically for home visitors working in the New Haven area.

We are grateful for the funding for this series, which comes from the Department of Children and Families (Elm City Project LAUNCH), with additional funding from the CT Head Start State Collaboration Office.

We urge attendance at all five days (8:30am-3:30pm) of training                            to enjoy the full benefit of the series.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.

The goal of the training series is to help home visitors view the families they are partnering with, using an Infant Mental Health (IMH) lens, with the focus on the importance of early relationships.

Home visitors will:

  • obtain IMH competencies that can help lead to an IMH Endorsement®
  • have the opportunity to attend a twelve month reflective supervision group.
Not only will this lead you to reflect more deeply on your work with families, it will help you to check-in with yourself and how you feel about this work, wonder how you can help support the caregiver/child relationship, offer support and advocacy, make referrals, and practice applying the IMH competencies in your work.

There will also be scholarships offered for anyone that wishes to pursue IMH Endorsement®.  Scholarships will cover both the application and processing fees.
