Harper College Employer Summit

This is your chance to share directly with leadership at Harper College the specific training your company needs for a viable workforce and learn more about Harper’s Resources for manufacturers!

For more than a decade, the IMA Education Foundation has actively worked with Harper College to create one of the top manufacturing programs of study in the nation.  As we enter the third decade of the century, Harper College is revising their programs and is again turning to local manufacturers and the IMA to guide them in preparing the next generation of students for manufacturing careers.

Those attending will have the opportunity to review Harper’s current programs, and help set the programs for the next decade in motion.  There will also be a tour of the manufacturing labs currently in use so that attendees can answer several questions:

  • What programs are working well?  Which need improvements and updating?
  • What occupations should be added – especially with respect to non-durable occupations – and what programs should be ended?
  • Does the college have the right equipment and software essential for modern manufacturing?

Your input is critical, and the college can’t respond to employer wants and needs if it doesn’t know what is missing.  Harper College is willing to make the changes manufacturing wants.

These two hours set the stage for the next 10 years, so your attendance is critical for the success of your company.  Harper College has asked for your help – please plan to attend.
