Finding and Responding to Opportunities

If you are considering working in the government market, completing the Before the Basics of Working with the Federal Government is just the beginning. To this point, it has been about mechanics. Now, it is about marketing, research and responding to specific opportunities.

Did you know that there are over 17,000 federal government contracting officers that buy goods and services? These contract officers are required to post and circulate ALL purchasing opportunities to the public, but…Where do you find them? How do you respond?

This workshop focuses on the where…where you can go to use FREE resources to find opportunities for goods and services that the federal government wants to buy or has bought in the past. Here you’ll learn the different kinds of requests and postings, how to respond to them appropriately and effectively, all while building your own marketing database.

Requirements: Students must come to class knowing and understanding their company's NAICS code(s).
