Making the Case for Food Advocacy: Environments Supporting Healthy Eating (ESHE) Index

This interactive webinar will provide an overview of our new standardized state and county benchmarking tool for assessing the quality of food environments that facilitate healthy eating.

During the webinar, we will discuss:

  • What does a "supportive environment" for healthy eating look like?
  • The ESHE Index framework and data selection
  • Using the ESHE Index to create change and measure progress

The ESHE Index is powered by COGIS (Childhood Obesity GIS) on Community Commons at www.communitycommons.org. It's free to join Community Commons.  You will need to register on the site to access the Healthy Food Matters: ESHE Index Hub.

ESHE is a collaboration among several organizations that work to promote healthy eating in U.S. populations:  the African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network (www.AACORN.org) is the lead organization, with other research and advocacy partners around the country.
