Give your Thai dishes a kickstart with these three delicious homemade curry pastes and you’ll be able to whip up curry in a hurry any time! In this hands on class we’ll make Green Curry Paste (Nam Prik Gaeng Khao Wan), Chiang Mai Noodle Paste (Nam Prik Gaeng Khao Soi) and Gaeng Hanglay Paste (Nam Prik Gaeng Hanglay). We will talk about the different culinary regions of Thailand and taste dishes from the three regions our curry pastes are from - the hot and sweet Green Chicken Curry of Central Thailand, Gang Hanglay, a Burmese Style Pork Curry that is a favorite dish served at celebrations and Chiang Mai Noodles, one of the most popular noodle dishes of Northern Thailand, originally introduced by Chinese Haw immigrants.
Everyone will go home with a small jar of each paste to inspire your own Thai cooking at home. We’ll also taste beer and wine to compliment each curry dish we sample in class.
