Your annual general meeting is the one time during the year when your members have the opportunity to hear what the board has been working on over the past year and what its plans are for the next year. Doing adequate planning for your AGM will ensure that the event runs smoothly and that items such as appointments of new board members, amendments to bylaws, and approval of the financial statements are not missed. During this workshop, we will review what needs to happen before the big date, when it needs to happen and how information should be communicated. You are invited to bring your organizational bylaws with you so that you can refer to them and get your questions answered. You will leave the workshop with an AGM planning template, and a great start on the planning for your upcoming AGM. |
