The Neurobiology and Pharmacotherapy of Addiction with Bradley M. Anderson, MD
Please join us for the upcoming training, The Neurobiology and Pharmacotherapy of Addiction with Bradley M. Anderson, MD on Thursday, March 14th from 8:30am-12:00pm (registration starts at 8:00). The training cost is $60 - Includes three CEUs from ACCBO. All proceeds go towards the VOA Al Forthan Scholarship to support students who come from families impacted by addiction.
This training will familiarize attendees with the basic neurobiology of addiction and how drugs and alcohol have their effects. It will also cover the medications commonly used to treat addictions as well as how to discuss their use with patients.
Dr. Anderson has 25 years of clinical and research experience in Addiction Medicine while serving as Chief of the Department of Addiction Medicine for Kaiser Permanente Northwest. Dr Anderson is board certified in family medicine and addiction medicine. He is a graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed residency training in family medicine at Central Maine Medical Center and fellowship training in addiction medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Prior to the fellowship, Dr. Anderson practiced family medicine at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Keflavik, Iceland, serving N.A.T.O. Forces and their families.
