5:45 - 7:15pm Class:  Ages 8-15

Students will learn ON-CAMERA acting and audition techniques needed to work in film, television, and commercials with professional working actor, director, and choreographer Karen Beyer.  

Students will learn effective on-camera methods for working alone and with a scene partner while practicing improv techniques and using scripted material.  

Class work will be filmed for students to view their weekly progress.  Students will receive a short filmed/edited demo of their work at the end of this course.

TUITION:  $199.00 - includes demo

Classes will be held at CSA's new Alpharetta location!

About Karen Beyer


Karen Beyer, a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Equity, works as an actress, director and choreographer with numerous credits in theatre, film, television and voice-overs.  Some of her recent film and tv credits include: Joyful Noise, Necessary Roughness, The Game, One Missed Call, Pregnancy Pact, Past Life, Drop Dead Diva, Army Wives and Front of the Class.  Karen will appear in the upcoming feature film, Little Red Wagon and the Lifetime movie Steel Magnolias this fall.  She has performed onstage at the Alliance Theatre, ART Station, Ansley Park Playhouse, Theatrical Outfit and N.Y.’s off-broadway McGinn/Cazale Theatre.  With an extensive dance background in ballroom and ballet, Karen has been the resident choreographer for ART Station for 10 years and guest director for 3.  Some of her other choreography credits include: the feature film Sweet Home Alabama, three productions of the Colquitt/Miller Arts Council’s Swamp Gravy and A Southern Christmas Carol, Ragtime for the Springer Theatre and 1940’s Radio Hour for Theatre in the Square.  She has also directed and choreographed shows for Onstage Atlanta, GA Perimeter College, five seasons for Stone Mountain Park and four seasons for both the St. Mark Drama Ministry and the Saturday on Stage Children’s Theatre in Cumming.  Karen taught on-camera acting for both the Suwanee Cultural Arts Center and the Forsyth County Parks and Rec.  For more info: www.kbeyer.com.
