Criminal Justice Center: Tour and Presentation

Join the CSI Indianapolis Chapter for their August Chapter meeting. We will tour the Criminal Justice Center and have a program that follows for discussion of how the project was designed and built.

TOUR: 

• Starts at 4pm
• See the new Courthouse and Assessment and Intervention Center
• Post-program will take place at Ball State CAP: INDY

*Pleave arrive at 3:45pm -- meet at 2979 E Pleasant Run Parkways North Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203. You will park in the back and enter through the Front of the building. (*Parking instructions will be provided 1-day prior to the event taking place)

After the Tour you are invited to Join us for our Presentation and Discussion on The Criminal Justice Center by Schmidt Associates.

PROGRAM:

• Starts at 5:30 for networking/social
• 6:00 - Buffet Dinner
• 7:00 - Criminal Justice Presentation, Presented by Schmidt Associates
• 8:00 - Conclusion of Program

Presentation:

The focal point of the new consolidated justice campus., the $171M Consolidated Civil and Criminal Courthouse unites all judicial services within a single, sustainable, accessible facility. Located on a former brownfield site in the Twin Aire neighborhood, the 12-story high-rise building serves as a major force in revitalizing the east side neighborhood. With three separate interactions for the public, judges, and defendants, safety and security were top of mind when designing this innovative building.
