This year we have the pleasure of hosting Loreen Bobo, PE, I-4 Ultimate Construction Program Manager, Florida Department of Transportation.
Loreen graduated from the University of Florida (UF) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1999. In 2007, Loreen graduated with her Masters of Science in Industrial Engineering, with a focus on Engineering Management, from the University of Central Florida. In 1999, Loreen began working for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 5 office in Deland, FL as a Professional Engineer Trainee. Loreen specialized in construction, and worked as a Project Administrator/Engineer and Project Manager, most notably on the $120 Million reconstruction of the I4/408 Interchange located in downtown Orlando, completed in 2009. After that she spent several years as an Assistant Maintenance Engineer in a local maintenance yard before joining the I-4 Ultimate Project. Loreen has been involved with the I-4 Ultimate project since the procurement began in late 2011.
I-4 Ultimate Update (and Beyond!)
I-4 Ultimate is the largest infrastructure project procured to date by FDOT and is reconstructing 21 miles of Interstate 4. The $2.323 billion undertaking will take about 7 years to complete. The presentation will include an overview and update on the status of the project, including progress aerials. What’s planned for I-4 after the Ultimate, attend to find out!
