EWRI Technical Luncheon: The Importance of Stormwater Education in Florida - Erosion Control Lessons Learned

The importance of stormwater education in Florida can be summed up to… what works, what does not work, and lessons we should have learned.  For the past 20 years, the State of Florida has provided a course using “The Florida Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspectors Manual.”  We will explore this educational program and the highlights of what does work, what does not work, and the many lessons we have learned during this time.

Speaker:

Hal Lunsford, Lunsford Environmental, LLC

Hal Lunsford is a 40 year veteran environmentalist who recently retired from the Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee as the Statewide Training Coordinator in stormwater erosion and sedimentation control.

Hal has taught erosion and sediment control classes since 2000, has over 10 years of private sector experience in construction inspections, and is considered the leading expert in this field.

1.0 PDH has been requested from the Florida Section PDH Committee for this event. We will update you upon approval of the PDH credits.

Registration closes on Friday, February 22nd.
