2022 Captain's Academy Course @ J&B Tackle 

Atlantic Captain’s Academy offers a variety of Coast Guard approved courses for Coast Guard captain’s license candidates. We are currently running classes for OUPV or Operator of Uninspected Passenger. Classes are all taught by highly skilled instructors, tuition includes all materials and testing.

The course will be held in the show room at J&B Tackle.  The Class will run from Friday the 15th to Sunday the 24th.  It will consist of two full days on each weekend and classes each night during the week, with one night off to study. Off night will be choosen by the class.  The test will be held on a date specified during the course that works for all participants.   Masters and Towing endorsement courses will be available to all participants that complete the OUPV portion of the course.  Dates, times and fees will all be discussed during the OUPV course.   

The course is divided into 4 sections; Navigation General, Chart Plotting, Rules of the Road and Deck General. All materials and testing are included in the cost. Testing is done in the class room. You will not have to take any tests with the Coast Guard. The tuition is $999 for this 100 GT Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) Coast Guard approved course.  The Masters class is an additional $325 and the Towing is $175.
