Real World Experiences Create College- and Career-Ready Students

New Programs from the New Jersey Chamber Foundation

A Dose of Reality Can Make a World of Difference!

Join us* for the highly anticipated New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Foundation FREE professional development workshop as we unveil the next generation of the LearnDoEarn Student Achievement System: REAL WORLD EXPERIENCES.

Middle and high school teachers, cooperative education and CTE teachers, guidance counselors, transition coordinators, principals, superintendents, and service providers in non-profit or state agencies are invited to experience the new generation of high-impact student programs from the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce Foundation (NJCCF).

For years, teachers all over the state have used NJCCF’s LearnDoEarn Student Achievement System to encourage students to take rigorous academic courses. Join us to learn about our programs for students in grades eight through twelve – programs that help students understand what the world will expect from them through meaningful engagement with business people as mentors and managers — encounters that will make students want to work harder. The influence of the business community as future employers, combined with the fun and excitement of competitive team games and the in-depth understanding offered by experiential and project-based learning activities that mirror the world of work help students upgrade and achieve personal goals so they can be ready for the ultra-competitive worlds of college admissions and employment.

You are invited to learn about Real World Experiences:  a slate of programs that target diverse student populations:

  1. college-bound/college-capable,
  2. students of all capabilities bound for internships, summer jobs, or the workplace after high school, and
  3. special needs students.

Teachers who attend our workshops will receive online access to the award-winning LearnDoEarn curriculum, e-Games, and other ancillary materials; an activity from one of our new programs to take back to your classroom to use with students, and a trial subscription to the online job application practice website, Almost Real Products. Workshop participants will also be entered in a raffle to win a 45-minute assembly presentation to 8th or 9th grade students (a $750 value). Two winners will be selected from each workshop.

Sessions are from 9 am-3 pm. Arrive at 8:30 for registration and continental breakfast. Lunch will be served.

Date and location for this workshop:

  • Tuesday, April 14, Atlantic Cape Community College, Worthington Campus, Room 204; 1535 Bacharach Boulevard, Atlantic City
