This conference is designed to help participants hone the art and learn the science.

- HR professionals tasked with launching a mentoring program
- Mentoring program directors looking to enhance and expand their existing programs
- Organizational leaders who wants to learn more about mentoring
- New mentors who want to apply best mentoring practices
- Experienced mentors who want to elevate their mentoring skills
- Mentoring coaches looking for new strategies and best practices

Morning Workshops

Session One: Starting Strong: The First 90 Days

Presenter: Lory A. Fischler, Co-author Starting Strong

The first 90 days of a mentoring relationship are critical in forming an effective mentoring relationship. It is important to start strong so your relationship stays strong. This workshop is designed to accelerate the process of building a strong mentoring foundation. You will be introduced to six essential conversations that contribute to mentoring success during the first 90 days.   You will learn successful strategies for engaging with mentoring partners, and building a relationship, establishing mentoring agreements, creating goals that matter, managing stumbling blocks and checking in on progress.

Session Two: Mentoring Across Difference

Presenter: Lisa Z. Fain, Vice President Leadership Development Services – Strategist

We often communicate most comfortably with people who are most like us, without fully appreciating or effectively bridging our differences.  Yet, it is our differences that enhance our learning. Mentors must be skilled in leveraging diversity and promoting an inclusive work environment, which requires new competencies, behaviors and tools. This workshop is designed to help mentors, mentees and program administrators, increase their cultural awareness and competence so they can create mentoring conversations that enhance learning and development.

Afternoon Workshop
