MATCH: A Runway Revolution

Get ready for AFC's first annual gala fundraiser - MATCH: A runway Revolution. AFC is pleased to be able to host such an action-packed evening that will kick off with a pre-party featuring hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and continue with a fashion show, music, and live and silent auctions.

The event will feature appetizers supplied by some of the best local caterers like Aura Retaurant and Harvard Gardens. Sam Adams has also generously donated a selection of their beer for the event. The VIP Lounge will also be open before the show to those holding a VIP ticket, hosting an exclusive, open-bar cocktail reception.

The fashion show will feature designs from retail stores, boutique designers like Jennifer Reale Design, Flock, Lily and Migs, and Donna + Erica, as well as up-and-coming student designer Lauren Ashley James.

The live and silent auctions will feature a multitude of items, from monthly delivery of a 12-pack of Sam Adams beer for a year, to gift cards to karmaloop.com and some great local restaurants like Orleans, Porterbelly's Pub, The Warren Tavern, and Devlins.

Prizes will be awarded to those who come dressed to impress. The people who best fit the following categories will win a prize:

1) Most Glam

Channel your inner Lady Gaga and indulge your extravagant side. Boas, masks, hats, sequins, oh my! Think walking disco ball or human kaleidoscope, or just come decked out in your finest fashionable apparel and you're there.

2) Matching-est Pair

AFC is all about the one-to-one interaction between our wonderful mentors and mentees, whom we refer to as "matches." Bring a buddy and figure out a way for your outfits to creatively complement each other. Fred and Ginger, Linus and Lucy, Bert and Ernie or just your best matching duds. Get clever!

A $52 ticekt to MATCH admits you to the fashion show and gives you one drink ticket and plenty of appetizers. All guests are able to participate in the auction and the best dressed among you will be eligible for a prize.

VIP

In addition to all the benefits of a regular ticket, the $102 VIP ticket gives you the privilege of access to an exclusive pre-show, open-bar reception in the VIP area, where you will have private drink and food stations to enjoy.

Student

AFC is offering a limited number of discounted tickets to MIT students (they are our hosts after all!) with a student ID.
