Join SOS CASA of The Flint Hills on May 26 for a training from Wichita State University Center For Combating Human Trafficking on "Hope for Hard to Reach Youth and Wary Allies". SOS encourages anyone working with kids to attend this FREE training! Teachers, Social Workers, Nurses, Foster Parents, Law Enforcement, Advocates and ANYONE working with children!
Effectively engaging hard to reach youth in the change process is challenging at best, and confusing, overwhelming, frustrating, and exhausting at worst!
“Hope for Hard to Reach Youth and Weary Allies” is designed to provide perspective, direction, skill building, and hope for those working with at risk and trafficked youth (including runaway, homeless, and street youth). Participants will learn how evidence based practices, such as Positive Youth Development, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Harm Reduction, can provide clarity and direction when engaging youth.
Seat are limited, so please RSVP to reserve yours!
