Montreat College Conference Full Details:
Montreat College Conference is a gathering of young adults from across the country in the mountains of North Carolina to work together in community and learn and grow in God’s presence. This year the theme is Compassionate Community. “As a community of faith, we will discern God’s compassionate nature and how God is calling us to act with compassion in our communities, campuses, churches, and families. We will learn from faith leaders and organizations who are living lives of compassion, working towards justice and peace in their communities”.
The delegation will depart from Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church in north Kansas City, MO on the afternoon of January 1st and head for Nashville, TN to overnight in a church (TBD). Then wake up on the 2nd and make the rest of the trip. We will return late on January 5th, into the morning of January 6th. Pine Ridge is the current plan for drop-off and pick-up for our delegation. Housing for the event will be in Assembly Inn on the Montreat Campus assuming availability. As a possible alternative we may rent a cottage and prepare our own meals at no additional cost.
The estimated cost of the $500 includes:
