The Seguin Economic Development Corporation and Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce are excited to bring back the Seguin Job Shadow Program 2020 in honor of Career and Technical Education Month on February 19, 2020! This event will be hosting 11th and 12th grade students from Navarro ISD, Seguin ISD and Marion ISD. We are now looking to sign up all industries to accomodate these students!

What is expected:

The students will be leaving your facility no later than 2:30 PM to arrive back at their school before the school day ends).
  • We also ask that you provide lunch to the student/students you are hosting.

What we need prior to event day:

  • Adequate Contact Information

  • Forms Needed to be signed by student
  • List of Occupations Available to be shadowed
  • Confirmation that lunch will be provided

*Please Provide any and all information at the time of registering

What is CTE?

Career and technical education, or CTE, is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management and many more, as described in the national Career Clusters® and ACTE’s What is CTE? page and Sector Sheets. CTE encompasses many different types of education, from classroom learning to certification programs to work-based learning opportunities outside the classroom.
