Personal Hygiene for Teenagers: Understanding the Importance

Is hygiene a battle in your house? Does simply asking your son to take a shower turn into World War III? Does your daughter skip the toothpaste when she brushes? Does deoderant stay in the drawer, completely unused? You are not alone! We are here to help you.

Many teens with neurological disorders have difficulty with personal hygiene. Add in the hormones they are dealing with at this age and it becomes chaos! But, there are ways to help them improve their hygiene habits.

This class is specifically for boys and girls in high school. The class will be broken into sections led by Mike Sumler, LMFT, Julie Morrow, MOTR/L and Lana Partridge, Program Director. Included in this class is a thirty minute workshop with parents only. The children will be together for part of the class and then girls and boys will be separated into groups for more in depth discussions.

Now is the time to get your teenager on the right track with personal hygiene. Space is limited, so please register early!
