Some interesting facts

  • Ecommerce sales are growing by about 15% annually.  US retail sales have a 5% growth rate.
  • Recent forecasts shows that Amazon continues to set the pace for US retail ecommerce and will account for more than 80% of the overall market’s expected growth this year.
  • Total US Amazon retail ecommerce sales (gross merchandise value) are expected to hit $258.22  billion in 2018 (50% of all ecommerce sales), up 29% over 2017—far exceeding total US retail ecommerce’s growth of 16%.

Ed has over 40 years’ experience as an operations and financial executive.  His experience includes being CEO of his own firm specializing in providing consulting to high-tech startups both in Silicon Valley and Boston.  He created three successful startups and has worked in both large and mid-size companies in a variety of industries. He has also led an agile software development team.  Ed believes the key to success is to establish mutually beneficial relationships.  He has worked on both coasts and internationally.  He has been a SCORE mentor for 5 years.

He has a B.S. degree in business from California State University and an MBA from Fordham University in New York City.
