Sliding Scale Registration

To ensure participation by all who are interested, regardless of ability to pay, registration is offered on a sliding scale:

- $250 - Full Fee (actual per person cost of event)

- $150 - Standard Fee 

- $75 - Reduced Fee A

- $25 - Reduced Fee AA

All fee levels ensure full participation in the two-day training and includes:  manual, breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Developing Healthy Men and Boys

A Two-Day Training for Professional and Personal Development

 A program of the Healthy Men and Boys Network of Western Massachusetts, in partnership with the Men's Resource Center and Men's Resources International

You are invited to register for the Developing Healthy Men and Boys training.

Purpose

"Developing Healthy Men and Boys" is a two-day training for people of all genders about male gender socialization and the strategies and skills to develop compassionate, non-violent and equitable boys and men. This highly participatory training, sponsored by the Healthy Men and Boys Network of Western Massachusetts, uses personal reflection and small and large group discussions to accomplish the following goals:
  • Understand the dynamics of male socialization and its impacts on boys and girls, women and men, families and communities
  • Recognize how violence and trauma contribute to the formation of harmful expressions of masculinity
  • Identify personal and collective actions for challenging oppression and promoting healthy non-violent manhood
  • Learn and practice cross-gender dialogue skills
  • Build partnerships between men and women to prevent violence and promote gender equality

Dr. Steven Botkin and James Arana of Men's Resources International have offered this training for more than 10 years in the United States, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, Cote d'Ivoire, Nepal, the Philippines, and the Netherlands.
