This Facebook Boot Camp will help you learn how to use Facebook for business. You will learn how to market your business on your Facebook Business Page as well as on your personal profile - allowing you to engage with your customers more effectively. In this “hands-on environment” we will review Facebook’s features and discuss how they can be beneficial for your business. You will be setting up your Facebook accounts, so get ready to begin engaging! Part one starts off with you learning how to create your own unique profile. At the end of part two, you’ll leave with a Facebook Business Page and a personal profile that will help you build your business. This is a hands-on workshop and will be held in a computer lab, but you may bring your laptop.

Using Your Personal Profile for Business
In this workshop, we will walk you through how to create a Facebook Personal Profile. We'll start from the beginning and discuss:

• Managing your account and privacy settings
• Learning Facebook’s Lingo
• Creating and Managing Posts
• Managing Family, Friends, Clients and Colleagues

Facebook Business Pages: Part 2 (1:00PM - 4:00PM; Intermediate)
Getting Started with Facebook Business Pages
Here’s what this class will teach you:
• What Facebook is and why it is important to your business
• How to create a Facebook business page from scratch
• What timeline covers, tabs, and applications are
• How to create events
• How to create posts and manage your newsfeed
• How to manage privacy and security settings
Level: Beginner/Intermediate.
Who Should Attend? This Boot Camp is designed to meet the needs of people who want to learn how to navigate Facebook and begin using it for business purposes. It was created for those who consider themselves to be at beginner/intermediate level with this social media platform.
Prerequisites:
- Basic PC skills and internet knowledge are required.
- You must have a working email address and know the password.
- Please bring headshot or photo for your profile picture, company logo and other graphics. You can bring these either on your flash drive, in your email or on your mobile phone - you must know how to upload photos from your phone. You will be using them to build your social media profiles.
