Making a Difference: Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Train-the-Trainer Workshop, Nov. 19th 

This workshop will prepare you to conduct training sessions for mandated reporters of child abuse & neglect using the "Making a Difference: Mandate to Report, Responsibility to Prevent Child Abuse & Neglect" curriculum developed by Prevent Child Abuse West Virginia, in conjunction with the WV Department of Health & Human Resources.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be certified as a Trainer for local workshops to help participants be able to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of issues related to child maltreatment reporting and prevention,
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of adult learning methods to enhance participant application of training program content,
• Demonstrate familiarity with the Making a Difference curriculum.

Each participant will receive a Trainer's Notebook, training materials, and DVDs including video vignettes for conducting their local training sessions.

Requests for Social Work CEUs and WV STARS registration are pending.

Participants are asked to commit to training at least 25 people during the upcoming year.

Registration is $15.00 per person. Unfortunately, there is limited space available.
