First WOC Conference

Women's Ordination Conference, founded in 1975, is the oldest and largest organization that works to ordain women as priests, deacons and bishops into an inclusive and accountable Catholic church.  WOC represents the 63 percent of US Catholics who support women's ordination. WOC also promotes new perspectives on ordination that call for more accountability and less separation between the clergy and laity.

Pink Smoke Over the Vatican is a documentary film about the movement of women seeking ordination in the Roman Catholic Church. Long forbidden by the Church, this international movement is growing in size, and in the public eye, as news coverage widens and the threat to the Vatican grows. The film also looks at the state of the Church and why the leadership of women’s voices are critical to the revitalization, even the survival, of the Roman Catholic Church.

Director Jules Hart will be in attendance.  www.eyegoddess.com/pink_smoke.php
