Over the past year, individuals from the Pikes Peak Library District Special Collections, Pikes Peak Genealogical Society, and Colorado Springs North Family History Discovery Center identified a need in the community for exactly this event and I'm happy to see it developing into a great success and am excited to be part of it!
I'll be giving an hour long presentation at 1:00 PM, as well as having a booth where I will be available to answer your questions and will be offering DNA testing too! Be sure to stop by.
We are excited to be planning for a large variety of attendees including young and old, students to professionals, and spanning beginners to advanced family historians.
The presentation will be given by Deena Coutant. Deena Coutant is passionate about creating family legacies that connect the past, present and future generations, through stories, photos, research or by uncovering the DNA of those ancestors who were previously lost to history. As a full-time professional family historian, genetic genealogist and photo organizer, she provides strategies to help her clients successfully discover, celebrate, share and properly preserve their families’ memories—leveraging modern technology to bring them from the obsolescence of the past into the digital age.
