Do you remember the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"? The Golden Rule would be great if we were all part of the same generation. Unfortunately, each generation has different perceptions of authority and different views about what is important.  If supervisors are not prepared for these differences, it can create conflict, poor performance, and low morale.

This inter-generational training can help supervisors and other library staff understand what makes their younger and older employees tick. Come learn tips and strategies on how to communicate with, motivate, and manage library employees of a different generation from your own.
