NEFLIN Outreach Interest Group: Online (9/24/14) 

Outreach Interest Group  - new members are always welcome!

Stephanie Race, Hernando County Public Library Outreach Services Librarian, will be our special guest during this meeting of the NEFLIN Outreach Interest Group.             

Learn how a librarian who specializes in outreach services has been using her library’s resources to bring people into the library who may be currently underserved.

Stephanie Race says, “I see outreach as finding ways to use what we have, to give  people what they need, and bridge the gap between need and utilization of library resources. Outreach involves folks who might use the library, but who don’t - for reasons that have to do with lack of technology or skills, or simply lack of awareness.”

Stephanie will share with attendees the projects she is involved with, and encourage them to look at ways to use those kinds of activities to bring new faces into their own libraries.
