Black Belt Librarians: Real World Library Security - Jacksonville (10/18/17)

Don't miss your final opportunity to learn from this expert consultant and trainer on his final visit to the NEFLIN region!

Real World Library Security is the original security and safety training for Black Belt Librarians.  During this six hour workshop, library staff will learn:

  • How to approach patrons to inform them of rules in a way that will most likely gain their compliance while keeping the staff as safe as possible
  • The essential elements of a real world security program
  • How to make sure that staff themselves are not the behavior problem
  • How to recognize different levels of patron emotion and how best to respond

Warren welcomes discussion and will make extensive time for Q & A with attendees.

Trainer: Warren Graham, Warren Davis Graham Training and Consulting, Author The Black Belt Librarian: Real-World Safety & Security

A security professional for more than 25 years, including 17 years as the security manager of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, Warren Graham left the library in 2006 to establish Warren Davis Graham Training and Consulting. Graham has made countless presentations and is a leading speaker internationally on practical day-to-day library security procedures.
