Trailblazer: Charting Your Path to More Effective Management and Leadership - Fleming Island (03/26/19)

This one-day classroom-based program highlights the profile of high-performing supervisors. This highly interactive workshop guides participants through an exploration of the differences in management vs. leadership and provides opportunities to discover how their strengths and potential career derailers impact their success. With this as a foundation, participants discuss their own powerful development experiences and how they can leverage these in their role as a coach to develop their staff. As a result of this program, participants create an action plan that will contribute to success in their current or future leadership role.

Objectives

  • Recognize the impact of effective supervision on staff engagement.
  • Identify the knowledge, skills, and behaviors that make up the success profile of an effective supervisor.
  • Explain the importance of balancing both leading and managing behaviors.
  • Recognize the links between personal strength and areas for development to the supervisor success profile.
  • Identify development methods that have worked effectively for you and those that can benefit your employees.
  • Explain importance of self-reflection.
  • Practice using coaching skills for performance and growth.
  • Create an action plan to GROW as a supervisor.
