The Art of Delegation - Webinar (11/09/21)

Delegation is essential to freeing up your busy schedule; it’s also about investing in the future of your library. Learn why assigning staff to tackle new tasks and goals (with training and support) can help retain employees and increase competence, morale, and productivity.

Delegation can also nurture management and leadership skills and grow your library’s capacity beyond the limits of your skills and expertise.

Topics include:

  • nurturing a learning environment for both new and seasoned staff.
  • Creating quarterly and yearly training goals with employees.
  • Introducing employees to new tasks and projects by means of “cheat sheets.”
  • Establishing a delegation timeline.
  • Why taking time to teach and mentor now will ultimately give you more time later.
