Meeting Information

The Makerspace Interest Group is a safe place to share and discuss information to help us continue to explore ways to use these important interactive spaces. Our makerspaces might be restricted but our creative minds are not.  Let's join together to discuss what projects we can facilitate now and during the coming year.

Topic:  Sphero Bolt Robot/Robotics Projects

Join us to discuss Sphero Bolt and other robotics projects that you can use in your makerspace.   The versatile Sphero can be used for a myriad of interactive learning: math-focused projects, obstacle courses, and more!  Come to learn or share or both of your experiences with the Sphero or other robots.

Interest Group Facilitator:  Emily O'Neill

Emily O'Neil, MLIS, is an Academic Librarian and a First-Year Experience professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville.  She was a K-12 School Media Specialist for 9 years in New York State. Helping create the Library and Learning Commons STEAM labs has been a highlight and she looks forward to the day the labs can reopen. Meanwhile, podcasting and other interactive online tech fill the gap.

Cost: NEFLIN Interest Groups are free of charge and are open to NEFLIN members only.  Registration is strongly encouraged.
