Communication Skills for Library Staff - Webinar (03/15/22)

If you learn some simple skills and techniques, networking with colleagues in person or online doesn’t have to be scary or intimidating.

In this session, attendees will take a close look at various personality types and communication styles. The more you know about personality types and communication styles can make almost any interaction a pleasant one.

Online resources will be provided and there will be opportunities for Q&A and discussion.

Virtual Trainer: Dr. Curtis Rogers

Curtis has been working in the library and information science field for more than 30 years. He has worked in public libraries and the South Carolina State Library. He recently retired from the State Library after 27 years. He has taught at the university level. He received his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Library and Information Science and Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction all from the University of South Carolina.

He is a past President of the South Carolina Library Association and currently serves on the board of the Library Marketing and Communications Conference.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
