Literacy Play: The Early Literacy Skills in Story Time - Gainesville (04/27/23)

Invigorate your story time with this hands-on workshop!

Join us for an introduction to the pre-literacy skills that children need before they are ready to learn to read. Explore each of the six preliteracy skills with books and activities that integrate playful learning into your story time.

Throughout the day we will share stories, sing songs, and refine our story time programs so that children and parents get the most out of this core library service. Experienced story time presenters and those new to libraries will both leave with ready-made programs that they can implement in their libraries as well as many additional activities they can modify as they plan future story times.
