Libraries 4.0: Harnessing the Power of AI to Create the Future of Libraries - Webinar (04/12/23)

Would you like to learn about the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of libraries? This presentation covers current and emerging AI technology trends, the benefits of AI for libraries, and the steps involved in implementing AI technology.

Participants will also be introduced to popular and reliable AI tools for libraries and have the opportunity to evaluate their suitability for specific library needs and goals. Some basic conceptual knowledge of AI is suggested, but not required. 

Virtual Trainer: Dawn Raquel Jensen, EMBA

Dawn is an international social media speaker and business marketing trainer, merging social media, digital marketing, technology training, business strategy and entrepreneurial leadership together. She founded Virtual Options in 2008 providing coaching and training to entrepreneurs and high-performing teams.

Dawn serves as marketing trainer and entrepreneurial advisor for the University of Central Florida's Business Incubation Program and the Small Business Development Center providing deep-dive advisory to build out strategic marketing frameworks that expand her clients' influence and impact in the communities they serve. She is a digital marketing professor and board member for Seminole State College's Entrepreneurship and Social Media Advisory Board.

Dawn has been featured on CBS radio, a member of the Forbes Coaches Council, and as a contributing writer to Medium and Business2Community.

 

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.

This project was funded either under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services or the Library Cooperative Grant program. Florida’s LSTA and LCG programs are administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

For FY2022-23, the total state and federal budgets for NEFLIN's programs are $688,109. 42% of the total costs ($288,109) are supported by federal funds, and 58% of this program ($400,000) is supported by state funds.
