Supporting English Language Learners in the Early Childhood Classroom 

The workshop will address the needs of the student whose first language is not English.

Included in the workshop will be an overview of language acquisition, suggestions for outreach to families, classroom strategies in both large and small groups, developmentally appropriate learning centers, differentiation and introduction to WIDA. Participants will be provided with time and materials to create centers that best serve the needs of their students. Discussion will be embedded throughout all activities.
