Sniffapalooza's Fall Fragrance Journey to Barcelona!

Dear Fragrance Friends,

This Fall, Sniffapalooza is embarking on another incredible overseas journey to study fragrance across the globe, and we're thrilled to tell you that our location is the extraordinary city of captivating smells, irresistible tastes, and exquisite art - Barcelona, Spain!

 

We've been working with an amazing travel agent, and once again, we've contacted all our friends at the perfume houses & called in every last favor... because we want only the very best for our fifth annual Sniffapalooza trip abroad!

 

Here are the details so far, with further updates to follow:

 

Saturday, November 5 -- Saturday, November 12, 2011

 

Six nights accommodations at a charming hotel in Barcelona near Las Ramblas, double occupancy (single occupancy available at an additional cost), private bath, A/C, Satellite TV, wireless high-speed internet access, swimming pool and sauna, breakfast each morning, four days of Private Motorcoach, including day-trips with English-speaking guide to Montserrat Museum & Monastery; to Salvador Dali Museum & Theatre in Figueres & Girona,  a comprehensive city tour of Antonio Gaudi architecture, sojourns  to  perfume factories and flower fields,  events sponsored by raw materials houses,  presentations by perfumers, private visits to niche perfume boutiques,  including all taxes & service fees, and airport transfers - all for the incredibly low price of under $1500.00!

 

(Price does not include airfare. Current roundtrip rate from JFK/NYC to BCN/Barcelona is under $800.00. You may be able to use your frequent flyer miles and save $$!)

 

Our days will be spent in sensory-related tours of museums, laboratories, factories, flower fields... and browsing amazing shops and markets for locally made olive oil, soaps, potpourri, china, leather goods, textiles, and of course - fragrance! We will be immersed in the arts and culture of Barcelona, venturing down roads not travelled by the average tourist. We've culled lists from the experts, and we know about the restaurant with its own signature fragrance, where the best 'secret' martini bar is, and where to find the most extraordinary ice cream in Barcelona!

 

Joining us on the trip will be several friends who work in the fragrance industry who can provide special entree for us behind the scenes. So we will be privy to exclusive experiences not offered to the public and you can only get by traveling with Sniffapalooza!

 

There will also be ample time in the week for strolling Las Ramblas, navigating the Diagonal Mar, exploring all parts of the city,  venturing to the Palau Guell, the castle built by Gaudi, admiring the historic buildings and parks, sampling the cuisine and legendary wines, enjoying the plethora of fantastic art (Picasso! Miro! Dali!), and basking in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun. And of course--- more *shopping!*
