CANCELLATION POLICY
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
Due to rising cost and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:
In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail, and/or fax to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $100 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.
NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE
Special Victims Investigations
This course was developed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and abilities of first responders as well as criminal investigators. An overview of human trafficking, sexual crimes, sexual offenders, domestic abuse crimes and child abuse crimes, are presented from an investigative perspective. All instructors for this course have extensive experience in the investigation of sexual crimes, domestic crimes and child abuse crimes. This investigative course was designed and presented in a manner designed to effectively enhance an investigator’s mindset, as well as his or her investigative skills and techniques. The training is delivered with graphic descriptions, adult language, and discussion including: videos, high impact instruction, crime scene photographs and actual cases, designed to specifically illustrate and support the topics presented during this class instruction. The course contains practical information intended to aid police personnel in understanding investigations of a sexual nature.
