CANCELLATION POLICY

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Due to rising cost and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail, and/or fax to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $100 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE

2022 Honor Guard Workshop

Honor Guard units provide the most visible and positive image for their department. The mere presence of the Honor Guard draws attention and raises the formality of any event. The Honor Guard is called upon to perform in events that are both physically and emotionally draining, from a parade to a full honors Line of Duty Death funeral, requiring proper preparation and training.

This weeklong course, consisting of lecture and practical applications, provides the student with detailed instructions on the duties and responsibilities of the Honor Guard.

***Students must bring: Training uniform including cover and gloves, full dress uniform including Honor Guard shoes, ceremonial weapon, three volley weapon with 50 blanks, American and departmental flags with harnesses.

NO JEANS ALLOWED

The fee for this course is $705

***As a courtesy to our students, we have a pre negotiated special room rate at the InterContinental at Doral Miami which is located at 2505 NW 87 Avenue, Doral, FL 33172. For reservations, please contact the hotel directly at 305-468-1400 and refer to the course name in order to obtain the special negotiated rate of $115.

*Please note there are a limited amount of rooms reserved at the special negotiated rate. Early room reservation is highly recommended. Shuttle service to the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute can be made available upon your request directly with the hotel. Notification must be made prior to your arrival to ensure availability.
